Join us for a free and public keynote lecture by Villanova University's Judith Giesberg entitled "Through Her Eyes: The Civil War Diaries of Emilie Davis" at our Microhistories of the Civil War Era conference.
Learn about microhistory. What is it? Why is it a valuable way of understanding history? As well as the lessons that we can learn about the Civil War by examining the experience of one free African American woman in Philadelphia during the Civil War.
