The Christiansburg Library presents a Local Author Talk with Dr. Rick Van Noy on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

Local author Rick Van Noy, who is a professor of English at Radford University and the author of two books, will be here to discuss his books, "Sudden Spring" and "A Natural Sense of Wonder: Connecting Kids with Nature Through the Seasons".

Rick Van Noy is a local author, professor and outdoor enthusiast. He has written two books "Surveying the Interior" and "A Natural Sense of Wonder. His latest book is entitled "Sudden Spring: Stories of Adaptation in a Climate-Changed South".

Rick grew up in a small town in New Jersey. After stints in Colorado, Washington, and Ohio, he moved to Radford, Virginia, for a position in the English Department at Radford University and stayed for the clean waterways and lovely mountains.
