Relay for Life of Montgomery County presents their 2019 Relay for Life event on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Christiansburg Middle School.

Relay For Life is a fun-filled event designed to celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. As with all Relay for Life events, it will be a night filled with laughter and tears as we help to fund a cure for cancer.

There will something for the entire family to enjoy! Barren Minds will perform from 8:00-10:00 pm.

There will be an Opening Ceremony, Survivor and Caregiver Walk and Luminaria Ceremony and Closing Ceremony. The Luminaria Ceremony represents everyone touched by cancer with a Luminaria. Each light represents a life taken by cancer, a survivor of cancer, or a support for a person still fighting the disease. It's a powerful demonstration that gives people the opportunity to grieve but also offers comfort and hope.

All are welcome to join us for an evening to celebrate life and remember those we love!

Admission is free however there will be a wide variety of fundraisers during the event so bring cash (not all vendors will have credit card machines) to participate in the various activities and purchase goods.

All proceeds raised will benefit Relay For Life and their fight against cancer.

Christiansburg Middle School is located at 1205 Buffalo Drive in Christiansburg, VA.
