Jessie Peterman Library hosts a special event with the Floyd County Humane Society on Saturday, June 15, 2019.
Want to turn your pet’s bad habits into good ones? Interested in fostering a cat or dog for the Floyd County Humane Society? Learn about all this and more!
Learn about the Floyd County Humane Society, overall animal behavior, hear some great tips on behavior modification for your pet and meet adoptable pets along with special guest speaker Erica N. Feuerbacher, PhD.
Dr. Erica Feuerbacher is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech. She was awarded a $1.7 million grant from Maddie's Fund to study the impact of fostering on shelter dogs.
We also hope to have foster kittens to play with. We may even have a foster dog available for adoption.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
