This year Virginia State Parks are part of the American Evolution 2019 initiative celebrating 400 years of Virginia history and culture as it relates to the formation of America beginning in Virginia in 1619. Join us at Claytor Lake State Park for performances by local musicians live by the campfire as we discuss the origins of music in the Appalachian Mountains.

Concerts are free to the public, but performers do traditionally 'pass the hat' to help cover their expenses. The normal state parking fee of $7.00 per vehicle does apply to enter the park.

Bench seating is available but feel free to bring your own chairs and blankets for an evening of music in the park.

For more information, visit: http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/claytor-lake or call 540-643-2500.
