Description:
The Town of Christiansburg Farmers' Market presents their annual Bike Rodeo event as part of the weekly farmers market on Thursday, June 20, 2019 on Hickok Street in downtown Christiansburg, Virginia.

The Christiansburg Police Department, NRV Bike Kitchen and the New River Health District are throwing the annual Bike Rodeo, complete with a bike course available from 3:30-6:30 pm. Learn about bike safety for a chance to receive a free helmet, backpack or water bottle. Please bring your bikes and helmets and wear closed toe shoes for this fun event!

There will also be a moon bounce on Hickok Street and face painting by Katy Shepard. The Town of Christiansburg's Public Works Department will have a children's activity regarding recycling, with the opportunity to win prizes. The Community Health Center of the New River Valley is offering chalk art, Wonder Universe: A Children's Museum will be on-site with family friendly activities and Montgomery Museum of Art & History is providing a pop-up exhibit.

Roam NRV will also be in attendance to provide free test rides of its bike share program and handing out free items. Wine tastings will be available with Iron Heart Winery.

If you buy $10.00 worth of items from any one vendor, you'll receive a ticket to enter our Market Basket Raffle which will include a variety of produce from market vendors. We'll be raffling the basket off at 6:30 pm so please make your purchases and drop your raffle tickets off at the Farmers' Market Manager's booth before then.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

The Christiansburg Farmers' Market is held May through October and operates every Thursday from 3:00-7:00 pm on Hickok Street.
