Comprehension of Spaces Description:
Join us for a special evening of live performance and multimedia projection. Each Immersive Multisensory Performance features contemporary multimedia concerts creating innovative works with the unique facilities of the Cube and the immersive projection potential of the Cyclorama. Join us for a performance from Mexico-based artist Laura Luna Castillo, "Comprehension of Spaces".

Comprehension of Spaces is a real-time, generative, and site-specific audiovisual and multi-sensory performance utilizing a cylindrical stereoscopic projection screen as its main component. Making use of 3D scans made in situ, a virtual reality environment is built on the Unity Engine and adapted to the 360-degree screen, using a virtual multi-camera rig that behaves as a first person controller. As the virtual objects, the audience, and Castillo converge within the 360-degree projection, an atmosphere of different temporalities and scales of the familiar begins to develop in a way that is never identical.

Tickets are $10.00 and free for Virginia Tech students.
