Description:
Tuck's Collision presents the 2019 First Responder Extrication Event and Virginia State Police Distracted Driving Simulator on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.
Event Schedule:
• 5:00-8:00 PM: Distracted Driving Simulator available
• 5:00 PM: Light dinner and beverages for First Responders
• 5:30 PM: Classroom presentation for First Responders
• 6:15 PM: Public may begin arriving for observation
• 6:30-9:00PM: "Hands On" Extrication Training for First Responders and Community observation
This event is an excellent opportunity to see the technology on today's new electric cars, and what first responders need to be aware of when extricating occupants from one of these vehicles. Vehicles were donated by local towing services and by State Farm Insurance.
Also, on site this year will be the Virginia State Police with their Distracted Driving Simulator Car for the public to see and try out. Stop by and take a ride through the course and see first hand how well you drive while distracted. Virginia State Police is dedicated to make a difference in highway safety and making the community aware of how dangerous distracted and impaired driving can be.
Drivers of the Distracted Driving Simulator Car must have a valid driver's license or valid learner's permit and be age 16 or older.
The community is welcome and invited to observe the Extrication Training.
Tuck's Collision is located at 1001 East Main Street in Pulaski, Virginia.
