Ride Solutions presents the 9th Annual Bike Shorts Film Festival - New River Valley Screening at the McClain's at First & Main on Thursday, October 10, 2019.
The Bike Shorts Film Festival focuses on stories where bicycles are used in the service of storytelling. The event includes the screening of the films and awards.
This is not a film festival about trail rides or scenic bike tours in exotic locales. This is a film festival about stories that just happen to include bicycles thrilling heists with narrow escapes by bike, small sci-fi tales of riding bikes in a gas-less apocalypse, and family stories of siblings coming together over a bike ride. Just as bicycles are practical tools to help us get from place to place each day, the Bike Shorts Film Festival focus on stories where bicycles are used in the service of storytelling.
Tickets are $5.00 per person for all ages.

Proceeds from each Bike Shorts Film Festival screening go directly to support local Ride Smart activities, our partner venues and the artists who create the works we screen each year.
Ride Solutions provides alternative transportation options – ridesharing (carpooling and vanpooling), biking, public transit, walking, and guaranteed ride home services – to residents living within the greater New River and Roanoke Valleys and Region 2000 regions of southwestern Virginia. Through our free services we partner with citizens and businesses to connect them with commuting options – beyond the single-occupancy vehicle – to access work and school.
RIDE Solutions is a grant-funded program made possible through the partnership agencies of Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (VDRPT), Roanoke-Valley Alleghany Regional Commission, New River Valley Planning District Commission, and Region 2000 Local Government Council.
