RSVP of Montgomery County and Radford, VA, Christiansburg Parks & Rec, Carilion NRV Medical Center and AARP will host the 12th Annual Supplies for Seniors Walk-A-Thon on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Christiansburg Recreation Center to benefit the Supplies for Seniors program.

Supplies are needed to help homebound seniors and veterans living in Montgomery County and the City of Radford. Supplies will be distributed to clients of the NRV Agency on Aging, Radford/Fairlwan Daily Bread and the Virginia Veteran and Family Support Program.

Anyone can register to walk. A minimum pre-registration of $5.00 is required per walker. Participants are encouraged to form teams and collect pledges from friends, family and co-workers for every lap you walk around the track at the rec center.

Registration forms can be completed at RSVP or the day of the event. You may walk and obtain sponsors or sponsor someone else to walk.

All proceeds will go to purchase basic household and personal care items for 150 homebound seniors and veterans.

Rest stations, snacks and water will be available. Christiansburg Parks & Recreation will provide lunch for registered participants.
