The Floyd Country Store presents the December 2019 Edition of The Floyd Radio Show on Saturday, December 7, 2019 starting at 7:30 pm.

This month’s guests include Dowdy Brothers Band, Little River Missionary Baptist Church Choir, and Little Stony Nighthawks

Live from The Floyd Country Store in the heart of downtown Floyd, Virginia! The Floyd Country Store brings together a new variety show every month. A series of guest hosts will perform original radio plays, comedy bits, ads, jingles, music and more. Each show features the finest old-timey musical acts, from storytelling banjo players to flatpicking guitarists to hard-driving string bands.

The Dowdy Brothers are Steven and Donald Dowdy and play traditional bluegrass music from the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The brothers were raised in Catawba, VA and their dad and uncle formed the bluegrass group The Bluegrass Brothers.

The Little Stony Nighthawks are a high-energy old time string band performing early bluegrass and country music from Pembroke, Virginia and Boone, North Carolina. Members of the band include Steve Kruger (fiddle), Trevor McKenzie (guitar), Brandon Holder (bass) and Aaron Ratcliffe (banjo).
