Claytor Lake State Park presents their 2020 First Day Hikes on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
Celebrate the first day of the year with hiking at Claytor Lake.
Guided Hikes include:
• Kid's Scavenger Hunt at 11:00 am: Kids of all ages will enjoy this Scavenger Hunt on the Shady Ridge Trail.
• Wetlands Hike at 1:00 pm: Join Master Naturalists, Brenda Graff and Judy McCord, to learn about the critters in our wetlands areas.
• Bike Hike at 2:00 pm: Sierra Club certified instructor, Bob Piscura, will discuss bike safety and equipment before leading a bike tour of the park and some of its trails.
• Dog Hike at 3:00 pm: Join a ranger on a two mile walk with your four-legged loved ones. We will be giving away First Day Hike bandannas to the first 20 pets. Pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet and you must clean up after your pet.

Parking fees are waived for the day and free warm refreshments will be provided at the Meeting Facility.
