The Radford University College of Visual & Performing Arts presents Drum Tao 2020 in concert on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Bondurant Auditorium located inside Preston Hall on the campus of Radford University.

The Japanese performers of the all-new production, Drum Tao 2020, deliver an unforgettable, pulsating production that has audiences and critics raving about their “extraordinary talent.”

Internationally acclaimed percussion artists TAO bring a modern, dynamic performance showcasing the ancient art of Japanese drumming. Combining highly physical taiko drumming with contemporary costumes, precise choreography and innovative visuals.

In 2004, Drum Tao attended the world’s largest festival of the arts – the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and became the No. 1 box-office smash hit of the festival in spite of it being their first time participating. Drum Tao toured overseas after their success at the Festival Fringe with a three month long-run show in Germany and an Australia tour.

After being invited to perform at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010, every single show was sold-out on their first North American tour visiting 44 cities totaling 50 shows throughout the United States. And now Drum Tao has expanded worldwide having played in 26 countries, 500 cities and with over 8 million spectators.

Tickets are $15.00 for the general public and $7.50 for children 12 & under. Radford University ID holders are free.
