Description:
The Wilderness Road Regional Museum presents an Outdoor Living History Event and Traditional Crafts Demonstrations on Saturday, September 26, 2020.

Join us for living history and traditional crafts demonstrations and our famous beans and cornbread. Pre-register now for this special living history event with Montgomery/Fincastle Militia, blacksmith and other guests. House tours with the "Herstory 1820-1920" exhibit will be offered, along with interactive demonstrations like pearbutter making, apple cider pressing, beeswax candle dipping, corn shelling, corn shuck dolls and paper wagon crafts for children.

Additionally, the Indian Run Stringband will provide music starting at 1:00 pm.

Admission for the event is free and donations are appreciated.

The cost for a hearty helping of beans and cornbread is a suggested $5.00 donation per plate. Pre-orders for beans and cornbread can also just be picked up to take home as well.

Remember that COVID-19 guidelines make pre-registration a must. For registration and/or beans and cornbread orders, call the museum at 540-674-4835, or e-mail us at wrrm5240@gmail.com.

Proceeds will go directly to the museum operations budget.
