The Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation presents the 2020 Blues, Brews & BBQ on Thursday, October 15, 2020 broadcast live at St. Luke and Odd Fellows Hall.
The 7th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ will he held from home! Enjoy a live-stream music event with a guest appearance from Nikki Giovanni. Join us to honor & celebrate the history of New Town and St. Luke & Odd Fellows Hall: Museum of African American Heritage.
The Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation will be hosting a re-imagined & socially distant version of its popular “Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival” which honors St. Luke & Odd Fellows Hall: Museum of African American Heritage every year.
This year's event will be held via live-stream on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and will feature:
• Live musical performances from Issac Haden and JoJo Stockton
• A discussion with New York Times Bestselling Author, and Blacksburg Resident Nikki Giovanni.
• “Stories of New Town” told by former resident, Richard Wade.
• A commentary from local Leaders of Color on current issues affecting the Black Community
