Description:
Virginia Tech Environmental Health and Safety (VT EHS) presents the 2020 Newport Farm Safety Day on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Newport Community Center.

VT EHS in cooperation with the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service, Mead Tractor, and Stihl will be hosting a Farm Safety Day. The day will feature several training sessions addressing hazards commonly found on farms in the New River Valley.

Sessions include:
• Tractor & Farm Implement Safety (9:00-10:00 am, Repeated at 12:00-1:00 pm)
• ATV & Sprayer Safety (9:00-10:00 am, Repeated at 12:00-1:00 pm)
• Fall Protection (10:00 am - 12:00 pm)
• Chain Saw Safety (Ages 16+) (1:00-4:00 pm)
Bring your chain saws and saw-related PPE for a free safety check.

All events are free.
