Description:
The Salem Red Sox presents the 6th Annual Sox Spooktacular on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Haley Toyota Field in Salem, VA.

The ballpark will be open to provide a safe trick-or-treating location at Salem Memorial Ballpark with free pumpkins. Costumed trick-or-treaters are invited to participate at this event. In addition to trick-or-treating there will be a costume contest and games.

We are looking for area businesses and organizations to partner with us at this event and to pass out candy. It is FREE for organizations to join us this year. The Salem Red Sox will provide an 8ft table and two chairs. If you’d like to participate you will need to bring: any display materials to promote your business (table cloth, literature, Halloween decorations, etc) and enough candy for approximately 1,000-1,500 trick-or-treaters. Your display will need to be staffed for the duration of the event, it is encouraged for the people staffing to be in costume but is not required.

Due to Covid, masks are required for all vendors and gloves are required if you are passing out candy. All social distancing guidelines and CDC recommendations will be followed. Tables will be distanced along the warning track on the field and there will be one-directional trick or treating to ensure limited cross contamination.

Following the trick-or-treating event, the Salem Red Sox will have live music featuring True Cadence and the Red Sox Grill will be open for all your ballpark favorites.

Formed in January of 2011, Roanoke's True Cadence is fast becoming one of Southwest Virginia’s favorite variety bands performing everyone’s favorite country, classic rock, pop and southern rock songs. No matter how large or small the venue, True Cadence can deliver the right performance for the right venue.
