Blacksburg Books presents Author Night with Bessie Flores Zaldivar on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
Bessie Flores Zaldívar will be reading an excerpt from her fiction chapbook "Rain Revolutions" followed by a brief Q&A and book signing.
Set against political and environmental turmoil in Honduras over the scope of more than half a century, the stories in "Rain Revolutions" mark the beginnings of a promising young Honduran writer.
Bessie Flores Zaldívar is a writer and poet from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She is an MFA candidate in Fiction at Virginia Tech and a Tin House YA 2021 alumni. Her work has been nominated for Best New Poets and selected for Best of the Net 2020. She is a co-host of the MFAngle Podcast, a podcast for lovers of writing and literature. Bessie’s chapbook, "Rain Revolutions", is out with Long Day Press.
