Description:
Historic Smithfield presents the class "Intro to 18th Century Campfire Cooking" on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Participants will work with Smithfield interpreter, Melvin Lester to learn about historic cooking methods used in the Colonial period via open-fire cooking. This class is interactive and hands-on; participants will have the opportunity to consume the meal that is prepared during the class.

The cost is $10.00 for Town of Blacksburg residents or $15.00 for non-residents.

No experience needed. Open to ages 18 & up.

Participants will work outdoors around an open fire. Must be able to work in a smoky environment.
