The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra performing their annual "Holiday Pops Spectacular" on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

A much-anticipated holiday music tradition and audience favorite returns to the Moss. Gather your friends and family and savor the spirit of the holidays as the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra fills the theatre with music and cheer with its Holiday Pops Spectacular program. This merry musical program is for audiences of all ages.

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra (RSO), founded in 1953, is the largest orchestra in Virginia west of Richmond, and the oldest continuously operating professional symphony in the state.

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra's mission is to enrich lives, educate and entertain diverse audiences in western Virginia with the highest quality instrumental and choral concerts, and to enhance traditional performances with innovative programming.

All of the RSO musicians are paid professionals, and have earned their positions in competitive auditions. Depending on the repertoire, the orchestra expands from small ensembles up to 90-plus musicians as well as full symphonic chorus. Members come from Virginia and surrounding states and rehearse together several days before each performance series.

Adults tickets range from $40.00-$75.00 and tickets for youth ages 18 & under and Virginia Tech student tickets are $10.00 each.
