Floyd Country Tourism presents the 2nd Annual Check Farm Trail at seven participating farms and businesses throughout Check, Virginia on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

Join us for the second annual celebration of the Check Farm Trail! This family-friendly experience is an up-close chance to learn about agriculture through demonstrations, tastings and farm tours and more!

Farm Tour Stops:
• Grateful Produce (10179 Bent Mountain Road, Bent Mountain, VA):
Stop by from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM to shop local and bring home a beautiful, nutritious bounty.

• I-Tal Acres (1663 Diamond Knob Road, Check, VA):
Free tours of our medicinal herb farm and food forest throughout the day between the hours of 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Note: The farm is on a hillside, parking is limited and space to turn around can get tricky. It is suggested to park on the sides of Diamond Knob Road and walk down the short driveway.

• Kat the Farmer (407 Diamond Knob Road, Check, VA):
One fourth acre salad-centric farm with samples and some products for sale. Walking tours available for $5.00 per family at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Registration for a tour is required and can be made at https://kat-the-farmer.square.site/product/-farmlet-tour-sunday-june-4th/176.

• Lil Valley Farm (8318 Huff Mill Road, Copper Hill, VA):
Lil Valley Farm is a Pick Your Own (PYO) farm open from 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM. Stop by for free pick-your-own asparagus (limit 2 pounds per family) and fresh baked cakes (free by the slice). There will also be some yard games.

• Seven Spring’s Farm CSA (426 Jerry Lane, Check, VA):
Walk around the gardens, ask questions, and see the facilities. Open from 12:00-5:00 PM.

• The Soup Shop (7360 Floyd Hwy North, Copper Hill, VA):
Stop by for samples, coupons, local products, live music, and more from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

• Weathertop Farm (963 Eanes Road, Check, VA):
See what a regenerative livestock operation looks like. Farm store open for purchases.

Admission is free.

Food and/or products will be available for purchase at most of the farms and businesses.
