The Blacksburg Library presents the program "What's It Worth? Ask Mike the Appraiser" on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 or online on Zoom.

Enjoy Antiques Roadshow? Interested in getting an item appraised? Join us for "What's It Worth" with Author, Auctioneer, Appraiser and radio show host Mike Ivankovich as he reveals what your antiques and collectibles are really worth today. Each attendee is invited to bring in one or two items for Mike to appraise. Appraisals will take place over Zoom.

Mike Ivankovich has been involved in some phase of the Antiques & Collectibles business for more than 40 years. He is a frequent lecturer and spoken before groups too numerous to list. He has authored more than 20 books and eBooks in his areas of specialty and has written articles and columns for most major national trade papers. He is the host of the "What’s It Worth? Ask Mike the Appraiser" Radio Show that airs every Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM on WBCB 1490 AM in Philadelphia, PA. As a Home Downsizing Expert & Author he guides clients through the entire Home Downsizing process, helping them deal with their Antiques, Collectibles, and General Household Contents.

We will open the library's meeting room approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of the program. During this time Mike will try to get a feel of which items he will be appraising. Since he will be unable to see the items in person, this will help him to set the pace of the meeting

Mike will give an approximate 10-minute discussion on "Factors That Will Impact the Value of Your Treasures". He will then transition to the appraisal portion of the program, evaluating each attendee’s treasures, one-by-one. And throughout the program Mike will be sharing many buying and selling tips & strategies.

Appraisals are limited to the first 25 who register. To register, visit: https://mfrl.libcal.com/event/12192229.

No registration is needed for attendees who are not bringing items to be appraised and just want to watch.

We expect the program to last two hours, and that everyone’s treasures will be appraised.
