Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. presents the 2025 Free Family Film Festival Kickoff featuring the film "Bookworm" on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at The Lyric Theatre.

"Bookworm" is a 2024 New Zealand adventure, comedy & kids/family film starring Nell Fisher, Morgana O'Reilly and Millen Baird.

Movie Synopsis:
11-year-old Mildred's world is turned upside down when her estranged father, the washed-up magician Strawn Wise, comes to look after her and agrees to take her camping to find a mythological beast known as the Canterbury Panther.
