The Blacksburg Library presents "Bag It Up!" Sewing Class on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

Why buy gift wrap when you can make the gift look extra special?

In this fun, no-stress beginner sewing class led by The Quilting Party, we'll whip up adorable fabric gift bags that you can use again and again. Choose your favorite fabrics, stitch them up, and add a little flair with ties or trims. Perfect for wrapping treasures, stashing snacks, or just feeling crafty. You'll go home with bags as unique as your gifts!

To ensure your project is completed, bring your sewing machine and neutral colored thread. Fabric will be provided, but feel free to bring your own fabric if you wish.

The class is free however registration is required due to limited spots.

Suggested supply list includes: sewing machine, thread, fabric scissors, straight pins or fabric clips, extension cord for your sewing machine.
