Biography:
Funeral Consumers Alliance Of The Virginia Blue Ridge is a non-profit organization of area residents dedicated to helping our neighbors make funeral arrangements that are dignified, meaningful and affordable.
We achieve this goal through consumer-education outreach, including group presentations, printed materials, personal consultations, local price surveys, and membership benefits. We serve residents in the counties of Montgomery, Roanoke, Giles, Floyd, and Pulaski; cities of Roanoke and Radford; plus some outlying areas.
Founded in 2001, we are a part of a nation-wide network with affiliates in almost every state associated with the national Funeral Consumers Alliance.
We are run solely by volunteers, and have no attachment to the funeral industry or any religious group. Our membership is open to all. The FCAVBR is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Simply put, we are a group of people who have learned about planning funerals through personal experience and research, and we would like to share our knowledge with you.
