The Floyd Country Store continues the 202c1 Friday Night Backyard Jamboree with The Crooked Road Ramblers outside on Friday, May 21, 2021. The Crooked Road Ramblers are an old-time band from Southwest Virginia, steeped in the traditional music of the Blue Ridge. They have played at the Carter Family Fold, the Wayne Henderson Festival, HoustonFest, The Floyd Country Store & many other venues across Virginia and North Carolina. They have won 1st place in the old-time band category at the Ashe County, Alleghany County, Laurel Bloomery, Fries & Union Grove Fiddlers Convention in addition to a 2nd place finish at the Galax Fiddlers convention. They were also named the old time instrumental group of the year at the 2014 Blue Ridge Acoustic Uprising. Join us on Friday evenings behind the Floyd Country Store for a live show with some of our favorite old time string bands! The Backyard Jamboree features one band performing for two hours starting at 6:00 pm. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Seating opens at 5:30 pm and the music starts at 6:00 pm.
