Description: The Newport Jamboree continues their 12th Season Jamboree featuring the music of Indian Run Stringband and County Connection on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Newport Community Park.

The County Connection is a four piece bluegrass band which is Catawba based. Its members include Pam Landreth on bass, Frank Garman on guitar, Garry Williams on banjo and Melvin Linkous on fiddle.

The Indian Run Stringband from Blacksburg, VA plays fiddle and banjo foot stomping dance tunes and sings traditional songs with old time harmonies perfect for dancing the two step.

From dance tunes to the blues, the Indian Run Stringband plays with love and abandon. They make old-time music fresh and new.

We will ask for a $5.00 donation from each adult to benefit the bands. Kids under 12 get in free.

Bring a chair, pack a swimsuit and your creekin' shoes and invite a friend.
