The Riner Volunteer Fire Department presents their 2021 Open House on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Enjoy tours, demos, talks, fellow first responders apparatus, photo ops, kid’s zone, door prizes, 50/50 raffle, free food, and more! Kids can enjoy fire helmets, helium balloons, photo ops with motorcycles & trucks, sno-cones and games. There will also be a raffle for kids ages 12 & under to register for a free bike. Free food including hamburgers and hot dogs will be available from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Fellow Responders Scheduled to Appear: • Riner Rescue providing blood pressure checks • Montgomery County Sheriff's Department with Fire/Rescue Appreciation vehicle and drone team • Christiansburg Fire Department with ladder truck • Blacksburg Police Department with motorcycle • Virginia State Police with motorcycle Tours will be held every 15 minutes. Demos will be held every 30 minutes. You do not need to be present to win the 50/50 raffle. The Riner Volunteer Fire Department is located at 4171 Riner Road in Riner, VA.
