The Virginia Tech Police Department presents their 9th Annual Community Day on Saturday, September 18, 2021 on the Virginia Tech Drillfield. Students, employees, and the general public are invited to attend to learn more about the nationally-accredited police department. The event will include activities for all ages including drunk goggle carts to simulate driving under the influence, a doughnut-eating contest, "Dunk-A-Cop," and much more. Participants will have the opportunity to view demonstrations from a wide variety of both Virginia Tech and regional first responder organizations. There will also be free food and prizes. Participating Organizations include: • Virginia Tech Police Department and K-9 team • Virginia Tech Rescue Squad • Blacksburg Police Department • Blacksburg Volunteer Fire Department • U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary • Galax Police Department • Pulaski County Emergency Management and Special Operations • Virginia Tech Alternative Transportation Department and many more!
