The Floyd Country Store presents the Friday Night Jamboree outside with Josh Blankenship and Nobody's Business on Friday, October 1, 2021. Nobody’s Business is a band from Southwest Virginia and Northwest North Carolina that plays traditional first generation bluegrass, old time string band and classic era country. The Friday Night Jamboree has moved back outside due to COVID. The Friday Night Jamboree happens every Friday, rain or shine, all year round at the Floyd Country Store. The first hour is gospel music and this is followed by two dance bands. The dance bands provide the right beat for our enthusiastic crowd of flat foot dancers and cloggers. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $8.00 in support of the musicians. Additionally, if you can’t join us live, check out the livestream on Facebook and Youtube. The livestream is free with donations accepted to support the musicians. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. No dogs allowed or alcohol allowed. The Jamboree operates on “Granny’s Rules” – no smoking, no drinking alcohol, no bad language, and no conduct unbecoming to a lady or a gentleman. It’s a great time for the whole family, and you’re likely to see kids from six to ninety-six out on our hardwood dance floor. You may even be one of them.
