Radford Public Library presents a Radford Reads Program with Author Willa Reece in-person at the Radford Public Library and streamed live on Facebook on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Her book, "Wildwood Whispers" is a delicious story about sisters Mel and Sarah. When Sarah dies unexpectedly, Mel visits Sarah's hometown of Morgan's Gap to spread Sarah's ashes and connect with Sarah's family. This book embodies mountain magic, healers, Appalachian wilderness and more! Willa Reece is one of Orbit Publishing’s New Voices of 2021 with her women’s fiction fantasy debut, "Wildwood Whispers". Previously published with Harlequin and Entangled Teen as Barbara J. Hancock, Willa is devoted to animal rescue and her three scientist sons, a biologist, and an aspiring chemist and physicist. Willa lives in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where stories are often told on a dark side porch by the flicker of firefly light.
