The New River Valley Sheep & Goat Club continues their Felting Classes at Merc Farms in Thee Draper Village on Friday, July 22, 2022. Join us for some summer felting fun! We will be making a head portrait of your choice of a sheep or goat. Amazing Amy has gathered some beautiful locks to use in a variety of colors, and these portraits will go inside an embroidery hoop that acts as the frame for this 2-d portrait. This class is $20.00 for Club members and $25.00 for non-club-members. To register for the class, email NRVSheepGoatClub@gmail.com. The mission of the New River Valley Sheep & Goat club is to support and promote the sheep and goat agri-business throughout the region and provide education and appreciation of these breeds for the benefit of club members and the general public. As farmers, members are stewards of the land and believe it is important to raise healthy animals in a manner that improves their land, the community and the environment. The club welcomes all aspects of the sheep and goat breeds. The New River Valley Sheep and Goat Club has over 200 member farms, and over 500 members, throughout the New River Valley as well as West Virginia and North Carolina.
