Calling all wizards of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin! Do you have the courage, strength and power to conquer the Potter in the Park 2022 Triwizard TriMile Race?

Time to venture out from the cupboard under the stairs! We are pleased to inform you that you are invited to hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry’s triwizard trimile race. Run, walk, apparate, or fly 3 miles through the wizarding world of Bisset Park or be a virtual runner using an invisibility cloak.

You don’t have to rob Gringott’s Bank to participate in all this Potter fun. Wizard race entry fee is $25.00, four Wizards are $80.00. Better bring your magical creature to protect you in the Forbidden Forest, $10.00 for beasts! Great prices for a great cause. All proceeds help local adults learn to read!

All wizard racers will receive a magical Potter T-shirt, a lightning bolt tattoo, and other fun goodies. Magical creatures will receive a Potter-themed bandanna! Register by Wednesday, August 10th to guarantee your T-shirt.

In addition to the 5k, enjoy the Magical Creatures Class with Professor Trelawney (Cynthia Wynne), house sorting with Prof. McGonagall (Anna Dalton), butterbeer tasting and Potter trivia wheel with the Radford Public Library.

Muggles, wizards and magical creatures will self-sort into Houses upon registration. The House Cup winner will be the house with the most registrants and all members will receive eternal glory.

Age Group Awards: In addition to magical medals for the fastest male and female racers, awards will be bestowed upon the male and female wizards with the fastest times in the following age categories: 3-5; 6-9; 10-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and older. These beastly awards were donated by New River Engraving.

A costume contest will be held and awards will be granted in the categories of youth, adult, and magical creature/pet. Floo Network prizes (otherwise known as door prizes) generously donated by local businesses.

We solemnly swear we are up to so much good!
This year’s event will be more fun than a whole box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans! And even better, 100% of proceeds support Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley’s adult literacy programs!
