Description: Historic Smithfield presents their annual "A Smithfield Halloween" on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

Celebrate the arrival of Fall through the sights, sounds and tastes of the season at A Smithfield Hallowe'en!

You'll tour the 250 year-old house all decorated for Halloween, take cemetery and house tours, and spin the wheel for skele-fun prizes. Boos & Ghouls can get their faces painted, get to goblin on some free candy, and get to know some cute critters at the petting zoo.

Enjoy live music at the pavilion featuring Happy Hollow String Band, Bruce Mahin Music, Mood Swing and New Standard Bluegrass Band, hunt for the perfect pumpkin in the Smithfield Pumpkin Patch. Pumpkins will be sold for $5.00 each.

Stop by Little Critters Petting Zoo, which features rabbits, sheep, llamas, and mini horses and Cole Art USA that provides face and belly painting. Other fun activities around are Halloween costumes' contest, pumpkin painting, henna designs and Henry’s free animal balloons.

Visit Bluegrass Barbeque, Butta and Moon's, Blue Ridge Cider Doughnuts and Gigi’s Cupcakes and Space Rabbit Coffee for some delicious food and beverage and sweet treats.

Check out our artisan vendors who will have historical clothing, leather goods, reclaimed wood Elf houses, woven baskets, as well as crocheted, hand-sewn and woven natural fiber items.

Learn a bit of history while onsite with a visit to our Forge to watch a historic blacksmith demonstration and take a tour of the Preston Family Cemetery. Round out your visit with a trip to the Smithfield manor house for a Trick-or-Treat house tour!

Admission is $10.00 per person and kids under 3 are free.
