The Blacksburg Ballet presents The Nutcracker at the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech on Saturday, December 10, 2022 with two performances at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. “The Nutcracker” ballet is a beloved holiday tradition for the entire family, capturing your imagination and transporting you to a magical world of toy soldiers and dancing snowflakes. The audience follows Clara on her journey as she meets colorful characters in the Land of the Sweets, from the captivating Sugar Plum Fairy to Mother Ginger's mischievous Gingerbread Children. This iconic classical ballet enthralls audiences of all ages. NEW this season: We are thrilled to be joined by numerous community members, including performers from the Blacksburg Chinese School and Hill and Veil Bellydance group from Virginia Tech. Tickets are $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children ages 3-15 and students with a valid ID. To purchase tickets online, visit: https://tickets.artscenter.vt.edu/. Runtime for each show is approximately two hours. The Blacksburg Ballet is a dance co-op comprised of Dance.Tech, Ballet Project at Virginia Tech, Dance Company at VT and the Summer Musical Enterprise.
