Blacksburg New School presents their Annual Earth Day Extravaganza on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Join us for our Earth Day Extravaganza event! Kids can enjoy our open playground and outdoor games, check out live insects and learn more about bugs, make some of their own Earth Day crafts, help design our large outdoor sidewalk chalk mural, and see animal ambassadors from Mill Mountain Zoo (presentation starts at 1:00 PM). We'll also have a bake and craft sale, opportunities for kids to start their own vegetable plants, and more! A free book and game swap will also be set up. Feel free to bring your own kids books and games to swap out at the event. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy this family event! Admission is free. In case of rain, the rain date is April 21st at the same time. Blacksburg New School is located at 2500 North Main Street in Blacksburg, VA.
