UPDATE: We regret that we must cancel our leather working class due to some logistical issues. We will reschedule the class at our next class planning session. Hacksburg presents the class "Leatherworking Basics" on Sunday, January 26, 2025. Many things (shoes, belts, bags, clothing, etc), now generally made of plastic, used to be made of leather, and were much more durable and long lasting. Today most leather hides are discarded and completely wasted! But, you can still make many useful things from leather. This class covers: selecting leather, project planning, cutting, sewing, molding, decoration and finishing. Attendees can make a cell phone holster or/and a decorative drinks coaster, as time permits. The cost of the class is $10.00 for non-members and $5.00 for Hacksburg members.
