The New River Valley Bicycle Association and Pathways for Radford present the 19th Annual Ride of Silence - NRV on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 starting and ending at the Radford City Admin parking lot. Schedule of Events: 6:30 PM: Staging begins 7:00 PM: Ride of Silence begins Join cyclists worldwide in a silent, slow-paced ride in honor of those who have been hurt or killed while cycling on public roadways. We will have a police escort along the 6.8 mile route and will ride at a slow pace. Though solemn, the group ride is inspirational for riders of all ages, all kinds of bikes, experience and ability Helmets are required. The New River Valley ride was first organized in 2008 after the untimely death of Fess Green, local professor and veteran cyclist. There's ample parking across the street at Kollmorgen. The Radford City Public Safety Building is located at 10 Robertson Street in Radford, VA around the corner from Sal's restaurant.
