The Blacksburg Farmers Market continues their regular Wednesday farmers market with Riley & The Rootabagas in concert on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Market Square Park. Riley & The Rootabagas will perform from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Riley and the Rootabagas are an acoustic roots band based in the New River Valley. These four seasoned musicians feature deep rich vocals, luscious smooth harmonies, and the succulent sounds of guitar, fiddle, and stand up bass. They perform selections from their favorite artists and songwriters, traditional and contemporary, all arranged with their own Rootabaga flavor. The quartet has cooked up a stewpot of Americana music to share with their listening audiences, simmering with folk, blues, country, western swing, gospel, jazz, Celtic, and Appalachian old time bluegrass. Their menu includes some instrumental tunes, some a cappella songs, and a side dish of originals. From bowed ballads to rollicking rhythms, their concert will leave you smiling! The Blacksburg Farmers Market offers local meats, organic produce, baked goods, crafts, flowers and more in the heart of downtown Blacksburg! The Blacksburg Farmers Market is open every Saturday April through October from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Market Square Park in downtown Blacksburg, VA. The Wednesday Market is open from April through November from 2:00-6:00 PM. From November-December, the Saturday hours change to 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. From January-March, the Saturday hours change to 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Market Square Park is located at 100 Draper Road in Blacksburg, VA.
