The Town of Christiansburg and Christiansburg Parks & Rec presents the 2026 4th of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Christiansburg's Huckleberry Park. UPDATE: In anticipation of warmer temperatures, the event will now run from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM to avoid late afternoon highs. Schedule of Events: • 9:00 AM: Opening Ceremony at Flagpole Circle • 9:30-10:45 AM: Noah Spencer in Concert • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Mid-Day Festivities with Games & More • 11:15 AM - 1:00 PM: Don and the Deltones Plus in Concert Join the Town of Christiansburg as we celebrate Independence Day and the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America! Bring your family and friends for a day of fun including live music, games & activities, food trucks, vendors and more! The Opening Ceremony will include opening remarks by Mayor Barber, National Anthem sung by Daniel Davis, veterans honors and keynote speaker Major Cody Rush of US Army. Noah Spencer is an up and coming musician from Richlands in Southwest Virginia. He brings a genuine passion to the stage with a voice that's both soft and smooth, but also gritty and soulful. His shows cover a wide range of styles from country to rock, Americana, pop, and gospel. He enjoys singing and playing guitar, drums, piano and the ukulele. He loves to entertain and is always ready to play. Noah was also a contestant and starred on NBC's "The Voice" in Season 24 advancing to the playoff rounds. Noah started singing in church when he was 5 years old and picked up his first guitar when he was 11. From there he also picked up drums, piano, bass and even ukulele. He stays busy year round with school and sports, but his ultimate passion is playing music and performing any time he has the chance. His musical influences are broad and include artists from many genres including David Crowder, Shane and Shane, Zac Brown, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton and Jack Johnson just to name a few. Enjoy Mid-Day Festivities from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Freedom Fields featuring a Water Blasters Game, Yard Games and Community Kickball Games. The Lego Competition will now start at 10:00 AM instead of 12:30 PM. The Stars, Stripes & Wagging Tails Costume Contest will now begin at 10:30 AM instead of 12:30 PM. The The Town is excited to host its first LEGO Competition as part of the Fourth of July Celebration. The theme for the competition is "America!" with a registration deadline of Monday, June 29th. Create your most patriotic LEGO masterpiece to celebrate Independence Day and honor the 250th anniversary of the United States. The Play Zone and Vendor Village will include a multi-generational play zone with face painting and Chuckles the Clown, vendors and Liberty Lane A Walk Through Time exhibit. Food trucks on site include: • Copper Dog & Co. • Bull and Bones • Wang's Food • Carly's Kettle Korn • Aloha Eddie • Squeez'um and Shake'um Free admission and all are welcome. Chairs are encouraged to listen to the music. A shuttle bus will run between the park, mall and Real Life Dental building. There will also be golf cart shuttles within the park. At around 9:15 PM, the evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show that can be viewed from nearby parking lots including Uptown Christiansburg and Wal-Mart.
