Mountain Lake Lodge presents their 250th Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Event Schedule: • 5:30 PM: Pre-Festivities Begin • 6:30 PM: Watermelon Eating Contest on the Front Lawn • 7:00-9:00 PM: The Ryan Greer Band in Concert • ~9:15 PM: Fireworks Show at Dusk Join us for the 250th Independence Day Celebration at Mountain Lake Lodge and experience a festive summer gathering filled with classic holiday fun. Enjoy an evening of fireworks, live music by The Ryan Greer Band from 7:00 pm to 9:00 PM, great food including a Hot Dog Bar and Nacho Bar, interactive games, and a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy! Ryan Greer is a Roanoke-based Americana musician who was born and raised in Franklin County, VA. Ryan has been a standout member of area bands Barefoot West and The Riverbank Ramblers as well as playing solo gigs. Grab your favorite festival foods and drinks, challenge your friends to lawn games, and soak in the festive atmosphere before the fireworks begin at dusk. Admission is free and all are welcome. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. This event is open to everyone, with options available for drive-up visitors, day guests, and overnight lodging guests alike. Spend quality time with family, meet up with friends, or soak in the American Spirit. It’s the perfect way to celebrate, connect, and relax with those you love. Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets. Please note that no outside food, drinks, or coolers are allowed. Overnight holiday package available for those who want to extend the celebration.
