Description:
Virginia Tech presents "Bring Your Own Brain!" Panel on Exploring Neurodiversity in STEM Professions online on Zoom on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

You're invited to "Bring Your Own Brain!", a live panel discussion exploring neurodiversity in the STEM workforce from the perspective of four neurodivergent individuals in various stages of their careers.

Among the topics our panel will discuss include:
* Why neurodiversity should be celebrated and encouraged in STEM fields
* Barriers that highly-qualified neurodivergent individuals face during and after the hiring process
* How workplaces have changed with respect to neurodiversity, and what still needs to be addressed
* What steps educators and employers can take to create a more inclusive, accessible, supportive environment for all employees
* Live captioning will be provided.

The discussion will be moderated by Carolyn Phillips, co-director of the Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation at Georgia Tech, and includes panelists Caroline Connell, Rua Williams and Sam Farmer.

The Zoom webinar is free and open to all though registration is required.
