Blacksburg Wine Lab presents a Catena Wine Blending Lab on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Limited seating for 20 Argentinian Malbec-loving maniacs, Ann Marie Sgroi from the most bodacious Bodega Catena Zapata will do a super cool Blending Lab at our place! The evening starts off with a glass of the Alta Chardonnay and Alta Cabernet as she tells the history of the Catena family and their winery leading up to present day.

We then dive into the Catena Alta Blending Seminar which takes us through the five components that make up Alta Malbec. As we taste these 5 individual wines from 5 unique vineyards that make up the final blend, we will explore the different terroir, altitude and flavor characteristics of each. Then, we let you create your own blend and compare to the Alta!

A $50.00 lab fee gets you all that, some charcuteries/cheese spreads, and exceptionally special low pricing on the entire Catena line, including their super high-end stuff!
