Description:
Radford University Athletics and the Radford University Athletic Foundation present the 2021 Highlander Half Marathon & 5K offered both in-person and virtually on Saturday, May 8, 2021 starting and finishing at Bisset Park.

Update: Both the virtual and in-person 5k options have sold out.

Schedule:
• 7:00-9:00 am: Race Day Packet Pick-Up
• 7:40 AM: Half-Marathon Deadline for Packet Pick-Up
• 8:00 AM: Half Marathon start
• 9:30 AM: 5K start
• 12:00 PM: Course closes

All race proceeds will go towards the Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund which provides scholarship aid to our 16 Division I athletic programs.

Registration for both races includes a short sleeved t-shirt and finishers medal. In-person racers will also receive a bib with a timing chip and shipping of the race gear is included with those running virtually.

Awards will be given for in-person racers only.

Packet Pick-up Times:
• Thursday, May 6th at Dedmon Center from 3:00-5:00 PM
• Friday, May 7th at Dedmon Center from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 4:00-6:00 PM
• Saturday May 8th (Race Day) at Bisset Park from 7:00-9:00 AM

In-person registration ends at packet pick-up on Friday, May 7th. Race day registration will not be available. Online registration ends on Friday, May 7th at midnight.

Note: Runners must adhere to a 16-minute mile.

Wear your Highlander gear and show your support for our Radford University Highlanders. Kilts are strongly encouraged!

The Highlander Half Marathon & 5K is committed to bringing you a safe, in-person event for 2021. One of the benefits of being a smaller race is that we can accommodate the details of COVID changes better than the larger races.
