Virginia Tech School of Visual Arts presents SOVA Fest II: A Showcase of Student Artwork on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Starlite Drive-In Theatre in Christiansburg, VA.

The School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech will hold the second annual showcase of student artwork on the big screen. SOVA faculty and students are once again taking over the Starlite Drive-In Theatre in Christiansburg for one night only. Because of COVID-19, for a number of our students this will be their very first exhibition experience. Attend a free, socially-distanced, outdoor celebration of student creativity!

Gates at Starlite open at 6:30 PM with a screening starts at 8:15 PM (come and go whenever you like).

Invite your families, bring lawn chairs, hang out in your cars, pack a picnic dinner, get hot dogs or french fries from the concession stand.

The Virginia Tech School of Visual Arts (SOVA) sustains and promotes the visual arts through the creative activities and scholarly research of its faculty. A principal goal of the school is to further develop new programs and interdisciplinary collaborations within and beyond the university. The School of Visual Arts is part of the College of Architecture and Urban Studies (CAUS) at Virginia Tech.

In its curriculum and administration, the department affirms the vital link of the studio artist's knowledge of traditions, materials and media, the visual designer's connection to technology and concept development, and the art historian's understanding of our links to past and contemporary cultures. Our programs unite to serve students in their quest to become productive, progressive and creative forces in society.
