Description:
Claytor Lake State Park presents the 2021 Opening of Claytor Lake Beach on Saturday, May 29, 2021 through Monday, May 31, 2021.

Claytor Lake State Park opens it's beach front and public swimming access for swimming, playing and sun bathing. Both the The snack bar and beach will be open with lifeguards on duty.

Typical behours are 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM during the weekdays and 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM during weekends.

Lifeguarded swimming cannot be guaranteed due to circumstances beyond our control such as staff shortages or inclement weather. Swimming fess are only applicable when the Claytor Lake Beach has lifeguards. When the beach is unguarded, no swimming fees apply.

In addition to the swimming fees for beach access, guests will also have to pay the Virginia State Park parking fee which is $7.00 per vehicle.
