The Town of Narrows and the Narrows Parks & Recreation presents the 70th Annual Narrows Homecoming Festival and July 4th Celebration on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the Narrows Town Park.

Schedule:
• 11:00 AM: 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament begins
• 12:00-12:30 PM: Children's Parade Line-Up on Monroe Street
• 12:30-1:00 PM: Children's Parade begins
• 1:00-5:00 PM: Splash Pad, Water Slide & Bounce House
• 1:00-5:00 PM: Vendors & Food Available
• 1:00 PM: Flag Raising Ceremony
• 1:10 PM: National Anthem by Grace Trent
• 1:15 PM: Welcome Speech by Interim Mayor Tom Spangler
• 2:00-2:45 PM: McKenzie Smart concert
• 3:00-3:45 PM: Emily Wright concert
• 5:00-6:45 PM: Simplest Form concert
• 7:00-9:30 PM: Barren Minds concert

Bring the family out for a day of fun and celebrating! Enjoy food, games, vendors, fireworks, music and more!

The annual Children's Parade, outdoors activities, live music all day with an evening concert featuring live music from headliner Barren Minds, playground area for ages 6 months to 5 years old, 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, splash pad & water slide, bounce house, a variety of food and other vendors and finish the evening with a fireworks show.

The fireworks show will be set off from the same location as in 2020 (from the field in front of the VFW on Main Street in Narrows, VA) for better viewing opportunities. The fireworks will begin around 10:00 PM and all Homecoming festivities will end by 9:30 PM.

The Children's Parade is open to all children to walk or ride bikes, scooters and peddle cars and to dress up in your best patriotic attire. Line-up begins at 12:00 PM on Monroe Street behind Ragsdale football field. No registration required and no gasoline powered rides allowed.

Barren Minds plays a mix of 60s, 70s and 80s rock as well as some original material that has a blues and rock influence.

The band was originally formed while they were students at Christiansburg High, they placed multiple times in the annual Shelor Motor Mile Grow The Future Regional High School Talent Show.

Simplest Form is a band based in Narrows, VA. They have a diverse sound playing anything from 70s pop to modern metal.
