The the Eastmont Community Foundation presents the 15th Annual Eastmont Tomato Festival on Saturday, August 21, 2021 outside in the Meadowbrook Center courtyard.

• 7:15 AM: Mater Madness
• 8:30 AM: Registration for All Events begins
• 10:00 AM: Official Opening of the 14th Annual Eastmont Tomato Festival
• 10:00 AM: Music from Cary Rutledge
• 10:30 AM: Tomato Pageeant
• 10:45 AM: Closing of Entries for Contests
• 11:15 AM: Performance by Magician Mark Fuller
• 12:00 PM: Announcements
• 12:15 PM: Performance by band The Groove Houndz
• 12:15 PM: Tomato Olympics begin
• 1:30 PM: Tomato Eating Contest
• 2:00 PM: Festival Ends
The Eastmont Tomato Festival is a family friendly free event at the Meadowbrook Center in Shawsville. There is something for everyone including tomato food, local bands, vendors, tomato contests, kids games, a magician and the tomato pageant, all centered around our areas rich heritage in tomatoes.
Tomato Grower Contests include:
• Biggest Tomato
• Most Unusual Tomato
• Smallest Ripe Tomato
• Best Cherry / Grape Tomato
• Best Roma Tomato
• Best Sandwich Type Tomato
• Best Set of 4 (All Same Variety)
• Best Tasting Tomato
• Best Tomato Grown by Child Aged 12 & Under
All tomato contests are free to enter and participants can enter multiple contests.
Tomato Pageant Age Groups:
• Cherry Tomato (Baby through Age 3)
• Tomato Princess (Ages 4-39)
• Tomato Prince (Ages 4-39)
• Heirloom Queen (Ages 40+)
• Heirloom King (Ages 40+)
The Tomato Olympics events include:
• 'Mater Toss
• Tomato Worm Squirm
• Tomato Obstacle Course
Tomato Cooking Contest:
• Best Tomato Condiments
• Best Tomato Beverages
• Best Tomato Entrees
• Best Tomato Desert
• Other Foods
Admission and contests entries are free and all are welcome.
