The Blacksburg Wine Lab presents The Life & Wines of Dave Phinney on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
Extremely limited seating for a discerning dozen high-end wine aficionados. John Boyer will lead a presentation/discussion covering the evolution of a modern wine-making master, while we sip and swirl through a series of premier wines representing his entire career, across multiple brands he created and/or influenced. We will have a delectable spread of cheese, charcuterie and a variety of titillating tapas created by our chefs to pair with the wines:
• Location Series: NZ Sauvignon Blanc ($26)
• Location Series: Fr French rose ($26)
• Eternally Silenced Pinot Noir ($60)
• 8 Years in the Desert Zinfandel Blend ($65)
• Mercury Head Cabernet Sauvignon ($150)
• Department 66 Pharon Grenache ($200)
In addition, we will be comparison tasting the renown The Prisoner ($50) and Shatter($28). And we will finish with his newest venture: Savage & Cook Distillery Burning Chair Bourbon ($75).
