The Montgomery Museum of Art and History will celebrate its annual Heritage Day Festival on Saturday, August 21, 2021 on the grounds of the Museum and on East Main Street in Downtown Christiansburg.

Heritage Day is a celebration of Montgomery County and its history. There will be live music and entertainment all day in Downtown and on the Museum grounds. A hay wagon ride will be available all day to transport people to and from the Museum and Downtown.

Live Performances in downtown will feature musicians and performers including American Roots, Leatherwood, Fort Vause, Dean Trimble & Steve Boone, and John & Katie Hollandsworth. A variety of vendors and demonstrators will be on-site including spinning, basket weaving, rug-hooking, leather goods, wood-turning, arts and crafts and more!

Activities Include:
• Vintage Craft Demonstrations in Downtown
• Live Music and Entertainment in Downtown
• Historical Character Interpretation at the Museum
• Historical Re-enactors and Re-enactments at the Museum
• Children’s Activities and Crafts in Downtown in front of Town Hall
• Garden Tours of the Museum Garden (Beth’s Garden) with Master Gardeners on-site
• Antique Cars on Display in Downtown
• Silent Auction in Downtown
• Artists
• Raffle in Downtown
and more!

Also free house plants including vegetables and native plants will be given away at the Master Gardener booth at the Montgomery Museum during Heritage Day in addition to the garden tours.

Additionally a Goat Yoga class will be offered from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM. The cost is $5.00 per person to benefit the Museum and will be held in front of Town Hall. Please bring your own yoga mat.

The raffle located in downtown off East Main Street will be for a stove fire pit and Contixo F14 Drone. Raffle tickets are one ticket for $5.00, three tickets for $10.00 or eight tickets for $20.00.
